Cherry Blossom 10 Mile Run
Yesterday I had a wonderful day in Washington DC. I was on the go from 6:30AM to 9:30PM with only a break to shower after the race. Alicia and I got up bright and early so I could get ready for the Cherry Blossom 10 Mile Run. I had been planning on running this race since December when I found out I got picked in the lottery that I entered before then. Pink Beer and The White House
At first for dinner on Friday night, Alicia and I wanted to check out Matchbox Pizza, but after wandering around Chinatown, we couldn’t find it and happened upon Capitol City Brewing Company. Chris had told me about this place and I was really interested in going! We got there at 5:00 on a Friday with no reservations, and I was surprised that we didn’t have to wait at all for a table! The Nation’s Capitol
Yesterday Alicia and I arrived by train to Washington DC! We are here for the weekend because tomorrow I’m running the Cherry Blossom 10 Miler! After a 2.5 hour ride from Albany to NYC, our train to DC was delayed by 40 minutes. Finally, we boarded and arrived to Union Station at around 2:00pm. After figuring out how to use the Metro (its actually pretty easy!) we went to our hotel. We couldn’t check in yet so we wandered around the National Mall and the Smithsonian Castle.
