    Weekend Update

Friday night a few friends and I went to Troy Night Out! We went to Troy Cloth & Paper’s Print Off. They were selling prints designed by the Artist of the Month and I knew I wanted one, it was awesome. We wandered around downtown a little bit before stopping at Bacchus for some pizza. I’ve only been here a few times, but every time the pizza is great. The crust is extremely thin and crispy, the pizza has lots of flavor and it’s not overloaded with cheese. After dinner we walked over to Peck’s Arcade, the new spot next to the Confectionery. This place is extremely hip. I loved…

Troy Night Out and the Confectionery

Last Friday at the beginning of the long weekend, I met a few friends for a night out in Troy. We walked around the tight knit market, looking at all the awesome crafts and enjoying the atmosphere. Troy just keeps getting better and better. There are numerous new shops and restaurants that have opened since I lived there! Although I do have to admit, some of the stores are a bit strange. With a brand new…

    Girls Night in Troy

Last night my sister and a few friends and I met for dinner and drinks in Troy. It was also Troy Night Out so that was a bonus! We had dinner at Illium Cafe! Dinner was very tasty, even if service was a tad slow. I got a glass of Malbec and ordered the vegetarian pad thai with tofu. The wine was very tasty–I really like reds lately. The pad thai was made with rice noodles and had peanut sauce–very good! It wasn’t too heavy of a dish either, which was nice. After dinner we went into one of the photography shops and looked around just for fun, then headed…

Troy Night Out and a Giveaway!

This past weekend was Troy Night Out, a monthly arts festival held in downtown Troy. Its pretty much Troy’s version of Albany’s First Friday. My sister and I decided to check it out! The square was pretty hoppin’ by 7pm. I also ran into my friend Marcie, the Hellion! We went into a bunch of the shops in downtown Troy to see what they had going on and a lot of places had artwork displayed. Sea creatures made with pipe cleaners? Pretty cool. Giveaway Time!! We stopped into one of my all time favorite local stores, Anchor No 5 Boutique. The store features hand made and local goods ranging from…
