Weekend Report
Happy Monday. Well, I had a pretty good weekend. It was HOT and gorgeous! Friday night after work Chris and I went to dinner at Sitar, an Indian restaurant on Central Avenue. Its been awhile since I did a local restaurant review! We ordered the sampler of appetizers, which came with veggie samosas and pakoras with a mint dipping sauce. Everything was delicious and full of flavor. My favorite her were the pakoras. For dinner I got the Navratan Korma (from the menu: mixed vegetables cooked with Indian cheese, cream, onions, & tomato gravy mildly spiced). It was delicious and so filling. Indian food isn’t complete without delicious naan, either.…

Lunch at Loving Cafe
Saturday morning my sister and I went to go check out the Troy Farmer’s Market. I think its one of the last weeks that it is outside, so we wanted to take advantage of it! I didn’t end up buying anything except some local honey, but my sister and I spotted a new storefront, Sticky Fingers Gourmet Apples! She ended up getting a dark chocolate with sea salt apple. I had a taste, it was great! After our trip to the market, we went to pick up Chris to go out lunch. Chris and I had been wanting to check out the Loving Cafe in Delmar. Its the closest vegetarian/vegan…

Troy Riverfront Farmer’s Market
Saturday marked the first outdoor Troy Market of the Season!!! I was so excited I headed over to check out the goods. I love farmer’s markets. The one thing I left with: the goat’s milk feta! Yum.

Best Mac and Cheese Ever. Period.
Warning: the beginning of this post contains food that is not that healthy! Just a heads up… Yesterday, Chris and I went out to lunch at the Albany Pump Station! Its a pretty nice restaurant as well as a brewery, which is pretty cool. I really don’t know much about beer but Chris does, thankfully! I didn’t know which beer to order so I went with the Sampler. The first and second ones were pretty good, but unfortunately I can’t remember the name of all of them! I know the first one in line was a Quackenbush Blonde (which is empty in this pic!), and I really liked it! It…

A Lovely Saturday
The weather this weekend has been pretty nice, so I decided to take advantage of it! Saturday morning Chris and I went to the Troy Farmer’s Market to see what it was all about. During the winter it is inside the Atrium, but in the summer it is outside by the river, and I can’t wait to go to that. But it was pretty cool despite being inside. They had some decent vendors — lot of meats and cheeses. I was looking for goat cheese but didn’t find any…next time I will ask. Chris amd I each got two bottles of wine from the Cascade Mountain Winery (New York wine! yay!) I got…
