Fall Foliage Hike – Sleeping Beauty – 10.9.20
A few weeks ago my friend Frank and I hiked Sleeping Beauty in Lake George, one of my favorite hikes. It was my first every Adirondack hike back in 2008, as well as my first solomy first solo hike a few years back! I also hiked it with my dad and sister a few years ago—so needless to say, it’s my go-to hike! The trailhead is only about a hour from Albany so it’s a really nice spot if you’re looking for something close to home with great views for little effort. Hiking Sleeping Beauty – 12.30.18
A few weeks ago my sister and dad joined me for a hike up Sleeping Beauty, a popular mountain near Lake George, and a part of the fairly new “Lake George 12ster Challenge”. I’ve hiked it a few times already, the first being a little over 10 years ago as my very first ADK hike, as well as my very first solo hike. It holds a special place in my heart! Sleeping Beauty Solo Hike
Last month when the weather was warmer I decided to get outside and hike Sleeping Beauty in the Lake George area. This was my first Adirondack hike back in 2008 (before I had a blog!) and I had been meaning to go back and hike it again. Since the weather was warm and it was a pretty short hike, I felt confident that I could hike solo! I parked at the Hogstown trailhead and walked the 1.7 miles to Dacy Clearing.
