A Manatee Sighting
The drive out of Key West is pretty awesome. One of the bridges connecting some of the keys is called the Seven Mile Bridge. There are places to pull over and look at the water and we did just that while we were on our way to Miami. While we were admiring the view, one of the other people there asked if we had seen the manatees. Finally! Manatees in real life in the wild! It doesn’t look like much but I swear its a manatee! Breakfast and the Butterfly Conservatory
On Wednesday morning in Key West Chris and I walked to Duval Street to Banana Cafe for breakfast. It seemed like the perfect spot to grab a quick breakfast. They had a lot to choose from, too! So many crepes! I actually went with something I usually never order, the bagel with cream cheese & smoked salmon! And of course some green tea. Breakfast was very tasty. I would definitely recommend this place for breakfast if you’re ever in Key West. Key West Eats
We got there at about 2:30 in the afternoon and hadn't had lunch yet, so we checked into our motel first, which was located a few blocks form Duvall street in the historic part of Key West. The motel wasn't amazing, but it did the trick! ... There was also a restaurant, called Salute, right on the water that Chris had found online earlier, so we went there for our late lunch. They were out of Sangria, so I opted for a Beach Bum instead. For lunch I had the salad with apples, gorgonzola and walnuts.
