    The No-Running Update

Today will mark three weeks since the Vermont City Marathon, and three weeks since I last ran. The absence of running also means lack of blog content, so this is why there have been minimal blog posts lately. I’m a firm believer if I don’t have anything worth writing about, to not write anything at all. But I figured I’d post an update about my lack of running. No running has given me more time for a lot of other workouts! And also time for relaxing on Saturday mornings. 😀 Hot Yoga I’ve been going to a Hot Flexibility Flow once a week. I love this class. It’s perfect for…

    Return to Hot Yoga

As part of marathon training, I’m trying to be more vigilant about stretching and cross training. I really need to make yoga a regular thing. But sometimes I get in the habit of tossing it aside when I’ve already done my workout for the day and would rather stay on the couch instead of go to the gym. I decided to try a new-to-me yoga studio in Albany, the Hot Yoga Spot! I did like my other studio, the Good Karma Studio, but I wanted to try something different and heard good things about Hot Yoga Spot. They have a wider range of classes that work better with my schedule,…

Where Do Your Eggs Come From?

Do you know where your eggs come from? I do! These cute girls!! Aren’t they adorable? They belong to my neighbors, and thankfully my neighbors provide me with fresh eggs once every couple of weeks. The eggs obviously have to be cleaned with cold water before you really do anything with them, but c’mon, this is local! I feel so much better knowing where my eggs come from, and that these chickens are living a happy life in their warm little coop. Yesterday morning I had an egg + salsa sandwich with one of their eggs. So good! ——– Yesterday I decided to hit up a 90 minute hot yoga…

    Hot Yoga in Saratoga

I feel so refreshed and rejuvenated after taking my first hot yoga class at Hot Yoga Saratoga. Katie invited Rebecca, Courtney and I to attend a class with her this morning. I’m so glad she did because I feel great right now. I fueled this morning with half a bowl of vegan overnight oats that I found on Angela’s blog. I think I made them wrong because they were SO slimey. I did not enjoy the texture of these oats. I probably won’t be having overnight oats again any time soon. So I got up bright and early to meet Courtney and Rebecca and we headed to Saratoga to meet…
