    Brunch at Saratoga National

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Last night Chris and I celebrated St. Patty’s day a little early. We went to our friends’ apartment downtown for dinner of corned beef & cabbage! I brought the Irish soda bread and Irish cheddar cheese. It was my first time making the soda bread and it came out FANTASTIC. I didn’t take any shortcuts–the recipe was from one of my co-workers…so this baby is NOT healthy! The healthiest thing in it was the raisins. Anyway–that was super fun. We didn’t stay out too late–I wanted to get to an early AM spin class this morning. 😉 Chris and I also made plans for brunch this…

    Hot Yoga in Saratoga

I feel so refreshed and rejuvenated after taking my first hot yoga class at Hot Yoga Saratoga. Katie invited Rebecca, Courtney and I to attend a class with her this morning. I’m so glad she did because I feel great right now. I fueled this morning with half a bowl of vegan overnight oats that I found on Angela’s blog. I felt amazing the whole time, and it was such a great feeling to finally have a good run. I always feel so much better after getting a longer run in. When I got home I made a quick dinner of an omelet with spinach, but I didn’t take any pictures because I was in a hurry to get ready to go to housewarming party! The omelet didn’t actually hold me over, so I was starving when I got there. They had standard party food,…

    A Lovely Saturday

The weather this weekend has been pretty nice, so I decided to take advantage of it! Saturday morning Chris and I went to the Troy Farmer’s Market to see what it was all about. During the winter it is inside the Atrium, but in the summer it is outside by the river, and I can’t wait to go to that. But it was pretty cool despite being inside. They had some decent vendors — lot of meats and cheeses. I was looking for goat cheese but didn’t find any…next time I will ask. Chris amd I each got two bottles of wine from the Cascade Mountain Winery (New York wine! yay!) I got…
