    Someone recently told me I should write a post all about OATS. As many of you are probably aware, oats are a pretty much a staple food in the Healthy Living Blog community.     Okay, I guess if I’m not ready by now, I won’t ever be ready! I have all of my stuff packed for Utica and made a checklist of things to bring: Running top Running shorts Sneakers Socks Sportsbra Headphones Ipod Ipod armband Spibelt Camera Maps/Directions Energy gels/bloks Peanut Butter and Bagel (for breakfast) Coconut water Clif Z Bars (for snack) Cold meds Tissues Camelback (I think I’m going to wear it, just to keep my tissues in it because I may have to blow my nose a million times during the race…eww.)     First Annual SPAC Rock & Run 5K

    Well, I have another 5K under my belt! My fourth race total and my third 5K! Today’s 5K was held at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center, which is part of the Saratoga State Park and it is really gorgeous! To get ready for this race I made a small dinner last night, a roasted red pepper, arugula and herb goat cheese sandwich. It was pretty tasty. I think arugula is my new favorite leafy green! 🙂 I used my arugula and goat cheese that came from the Troy Farmer’s Market!     Pre-Race Eats

    Good afternoon everyone!! Only a couple hours away until the Workforce Challenge! Yay! And it is already really warm out, so I’ve been drinking water like a fiend! Last night I made a breakfast cookie to have this morning. I kind of went overboard with the oats and added about 3/4 a cup. I usually only add about 1/2 a cup, but I saw some leftover oats in the bottom of the container and I wanted to use them all up.
