Fall in the ADK
Here are some scenes from a day trip Chris and I took with my parents on Sunday to the Lake George/Lake Luzurne/Stony Creek area of the Adirondacks. It was raining but we could still see the foliage. Not a clear day for views, but fun none the less!

Hiking My First High Peaks – Cascade and Porter Mountains
Friday night after work I drove up to the Lake Placid area to meet Chris and his cousins. They had been backpacking in the Adirondacks since Monday and were done—they were already settled into a KOA Campground in Wilmington, and I was meeting them up there for some camping! First, I met them at Lake Placid Pub and Brewery for dinner, after driving 2+ hours a beer was much needed! For dinner I ordered the maple and pear flatbread. Scenes from a Bike Ride
One of my favorite things to do as of late is go for a bike ride in the evening, around 6:30. I ride through the Town of New Scotland and my route has some beautiful views. This is my favorite way to spend a late summer evening!

Where: Lions Park, Niskyauna Bike Path Temperature at start: 27 degrees Miles ran: 14 Average Pace: 10:04 Time: 2:21:01 Running buddies: three awesome girls (Melissa, Valerie & Yulia) Thanks girls for making Saturday’s run awesome! I think it was the best run of marathon training yet! Hoping to recreate it for next weekend’s 20 miler.
